    GET STOKED
it's been decades since i've updated...but i have two records coming out soon and well, it's hard to keep quiet.

I WOULD SET MYSELF ON FIRE FOR YOU 7" These Georgia boys (and girl!) mix chaotic hardcore with melodic interludes and tear house shows apart. I can't wait to hear the new recording (if they ever finish!!!!)

ADONIS BATTLEFIELD/D'AMORE split 12" It's always amazing when two bands who are the best of friends get together to do a split. I am seriously stoked on the potential this has and hope that it will be out before the end of the year.

    first review!
from mashnote.net(keep in mind rik is from belgium and his english is kinda slugged)

"A Day in Black and White starts off with a slow and melancholic interlude and the tone is immediately set for this good screamy split 12". Melancholy is one of the key points from this record by two US bands. A Day in Black and White impress with their passionate hardcore and they are definitely "screamo". All the way through. After the calm introduction they introduce you with two songs that are both containing a certain urgency and the guitars are mostly piercing and intricate, though the band sometimes breaks down with a heavy more metallic hardcore riff in which the vocalist probably goes nuts and looks to the ceiling. These two songs contain a few good punches, but sometimes it takes a bit too. Black Castle is a bit more typical as far as screamo goes, but I guess I'm a sucker for familiar stuff. I like this a lot. At least two vocalists scream on top of synthcore that goes from pretty dense and mellow parts to more frenzied screamy parts. All in all Black Castle stays pretty moody with the goth-pop it almost creates. In between songs there are samples and beats. The free zine this 12" comes with is better than most other personal zines I paid for and is another fine example that there went a lot of love and honesty into this record."
